Automate!

One of the secrets to my success is automation! I automate everything I can. Let me share with you some of my favorite tools:

Quickbooks Online

What a game changer! Gone are the days of ledger paper and debits and credits! Interface your QBO with your bank account, credit card - even PayPal and Venmo! Securely download your data - and we can do the rest! Monthly reconciliation of your accounts, review of all transactions, and immediate notification if anything looks unusual. As a bonus, we have custom reports that will blow you away.

Gusto

Payroll has never been easier! Inexpensive, efficient and accurate - I love it! It handles both employees and contractors, I even use it for my workers comp insurance. Employees/Contractors can onboard themselves - no more paperwork. Gusto takes care of all your payroll taxes, state and federal filings including W2s. And interfaces flawlessly with QBO. Need an account? Click Here. When you subscribe thru me they will send a little something to us both. I think I’ll buy vases . . . or maybe more candles!

Fixed Invoices

Any invoice you pay each month can and should be automated - rent, utilities, insurance - even your favorite bookkeeper! Your best option is to set auto pay up thru your bank although for for utilities you will have to go thru them directly.

Some invoice - like your flower bills - will still need to be managed - but just a few!

Calendly

This has nothing to do with your bookkeeping, but Calendly is a big part of my automation. I have been using Calendly for several years and it has all but eliminated consultation ghosting! Calendly reminds clients about their appointments - you set up your custom reminder schedule - it even sends a follow up a week after the consultations - something I have wanted to do, but never found the time. It will even schedule Zoom events for you. Calendly makes me look like a pro and saves time!

Automation can save you hours each month.
